Unsolicited Advice
For moms to be. Feel free to add on your own advice in the comments.
- There is such a thing as too many receiving blankets.
- There may be no such thing as too many bibs, however.
- If you have to evacuate your home, bring your breast pump.
- Don't buy anything until after your baby shower.
- Register, register, register.
- If you are in tight quarters, buy a Mini Co-Sleeper and wait to buy the crib until you know what your needs are.
- This chair can entertain and restrain a child, rock them to sleep and hold them for their first feeding.
- Spring for the infant carseat.
- Wait to buy a stroller, you may get more use out of an infant carrier for the first few months.
- Do not worry about the cats, everyone will be fine.
- Solo travel with an infant is possible. There are a lot of helpful people out there.
- Read customer reviews on Amazon.
- Commit to breastfeeding - the pain will eventually go away.
- No matter how cute the item is, do not buy any clothes for your child. Other people have it covered. If you want, set the money aside for his/her first pair of designer jeans.

Glad you mentioned the bibs. I was kind of thinking you didnt need bibs until you were feeding them real foods, but I guess it is easier to have them spit up on a bib than use a cloth to wipe it up? And then maybe have to change their top? So, you used the bibs all along?
