The Short List of Big Thanks
I am thankful for...
...the birth of a healthy daughter
... a fabulous husband
... a loving and supportive family
... friends who have come through in amazing ways
... our home, safe and sound
I am also thankful for...
... Red Cross volunteers who kept us fed, watered and iced
... kitties who have tolerated upheaval in stride
... first smiles, coos and laughs
... an adopted family to have turkey with
... sleeping through the night
... our pediatrician's office
... unofficial paid paternity leave
... slate roofs
... imaginary blogger buddies
... those of you that came back and are going to stay

I am thankful that I did not have to live in the Superdome.
I am thankful that all of my friendsw, even though they are all over the place now, are OK. A little frazzled still, but we are OK.
I am thankful that my friends helped me through all my nervous breakdowns during the hurricane, especially Uncle D, who endured more than his fair share of complete raging insanity from me in September. And October. And well, umm, November...
I am VERY thankful that you & G and Addy were safe during the storm.
And last but certainly not least, I am thankful for the bottle of champagne that I am going to drink with dinner.
